Beschreibung der Reiseroute
Amazingly beautiful hike around the stunning hills of Crummock water reservoir. Very hairy drive to the reservoir! Parking in buttermere at the bridge hotel (in the village) or national trust (just past the village) but get there early (before 10 in summer). Hike is easy with minimal elevation gain in one go, more undulating. Lots of places to stop at the lake side, on the many beaches. Need to take water shoes if you want to swim due to the stones. On the far bank there is a promontory that is quiet and has easier entry to the water. Hotel at end for a drink!
