Cette petite randonnée de 6 km au départ de la maison d'hôtes du Valangré (Gistoux) est un petit régal de par la variété des paysage qu'il vous fera découvrir sur une aussi courte distance.
L'étang communal de Gistoux d'abord, puis le sentier bucolique du "Pont de Haute Bonlez" le long du ruisseau "Le Train". Au sommet de chemin du Fond des Goffes, ne manquez pas d'observer cette délicieuse petite maison de pierres et de briques et son charmant jardin. Vous longez ensuite la lisière du bois dans un paysage typiquement brabançon pour ensuite redescendre à travers bois vers le village.
Retour par le charmant "Sentier des brebis" pour rejoindre l'ancienne voie du Vicinal (tramway de campagne Jodoigne-Charleroi jusque dans les années1950) le long du château du notaire Jamar.

This small hike of 6 km from the guest house Le Valangré (Gistoux) is a small treat because of the variety of landscape that it will make you discover on such a short distance.
The communal pond of Gistoux first, then the bucolic path of "Pont de Haute Bonlez" along the creek "Le Train". At the top of the rue "Fond des Goffes", do not miss this lovely little stones & bricks house and its charming garden. You then skirt the edge of the wood in a typical Brabant landscape and then descend through the woods to the village.
Return by the charming "Sentier des brebis" (litt. Sheep Trail) to join the old way of the Vicinal (countryside tramway till the 1950's) along the castle of notary Jamar.

Short but very enjoyable hike.
One section was a bit difficult to walk due to the slippery surface but the rest is easy do-able.
Highly recommend!

Belle promenade bucolique, à travers champs et bois, a faire en solo ou en famille.

Très agréable - paysages variés et tout à fait accessible - plusieurs haltes pique-nique tout au long du parcours. Nous avons parqué la voiture sur le parking de l’église.
