This scenic loop starts and ends in Roghudi Vecchio, an abandoned cliffside village full of crumbling houses and narrow alleys — a truly atmospheric place.
The trail isn’t always well marked, so a GPS track is helpful. It winds through dirt roads and forest paths, passing the Caldaie del Latte, unique rounded rock formations shaped by water over time.
The route then climbs toward Rocca to Draku, a rocky outcrop with stunning views over deep canyons and the rugged Aspromonte landscape — a perfect spot to pause and take it all in.
Expect varied terrain, a few small landslides, and a mix of solitude, nature, and history.
