Sendero Presa Fresnillo
This route starts from the Plaza de los Asomadores and its Mirador where there is plenty of parking.
Leaving the town centre you eventually get to Puente de la Asemblea where the walk official starts (?).
The trail starts on a gentle slope, where you will come across a wide variety of plants and can catch a glimpse of griffon vultures and even wild goats on the crags. There is section near the dam where the path is quite narrow (I have marked it on the Wikiloc).
The route offers wonderful views of Grazalema and the Peñón Grande; and the Pinsapo forest.
The walk ends at the dam of the Fresnillo reservoir. I went up to the dam which isn’t too hard to scale up the rocks.
Surprisingly the water level was quite low.
This small reservoir was built due to the lack of drinking water suffered by residents in summer, despite Grazalema being the wettest region in Spain.
