Trail 7 (7 km long in loop)

My phone had hanged so I could not end the recording of trail for sometime.
Total length was only 7 km approx, but it shows 17 as i turned it off on Margalla Road. 10 additional km were added.


Approach.
It's opposit to D-12. If you go from Islamabad the U-turn is bit far from the turn.
We did not park at the designated parking of the trail as there was no person there. We rather parked next to 'Taqwa Mosque' at the round about of the society. Society had huge houses which were mostly 1 kanal and more in area and atleast 3 stories.
We started the hike next to the water stream from the right side.
Couple of minutes later we were told that the trail ahead was slippery due to rain so we crossed the stream to try the other trail.

Many local boys were going along the water to bath in, what I was told, ponds ahead. We could hear lots of noises from the valley.

Started hike up the gravel road which in a few minutes ended and the trail started. It was bit steep in the start but after 20 minutes it became mild.
From there a passage goes down to the water and on left one goes ahead.

Trail 7 is very easy and gradual hike. It has a fire line too which reduces the distance. But the normal route goes from one hill to another, instead of climbing one hill .

After you reach a huge tree, trail started a little descend.
After a kilometer or so you start hearing noise of water.
You reach a small water fountain after crossing it you would reach the road.

There are some spectacular views there and ahead on the road are some hotels.
There is an old well but as it was already passed 6 pm, so we hurried back and reached just as darkness covered the area.

Many youngsters were there on bikes.

Note: area is not very safe, and there had been mugging with even large groups of tourists so be careful.
